Terms of Service

Effective date: 29th August 2026

Welcome to 60SecondBridge. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the 60SecondBridge.com website and its lessons, quizzes, games and other services (together, the "Service"). The Service is owned and operated by Webview Ltd, a New Zealand company ("we", "us" or "our").

By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Service, including members, visitors, and guests invited to play in the live game.

1. Your account

Some parts of the Service require a membership account. When you create an account you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password confidential and not share your account or login details with anyone else. An account is for one person only.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to create an account.

2. Subscriptions and payment

  • Access to members-only content requires a paid subscription. Current plans and pricing are shown on our pricing page.
  • Payments are handled by our third-party payment provider, FastSpring, and are subject to their terms of service. We never see or store your card details. Local taxes may apply.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period (or free trial). Fees already paid are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • Where we offer a free trial, you will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
  • We may change our subscription fees or plans from time to time. Any price change will only take effect at your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice beforehand.

3. Using the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service and its content for your personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
  • Copy, download, distribute, sell, republish or create derivative works from our lessons or other content without our prior written permission.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users' enjoyment of it, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.
  • Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.

4. The live game, competitions and guests

The Service includes a live bridge game where you can play against the computer or other people, and competition games with leaderboards. When you take part:

  • Guests. Members may invite non-members to join a live game room using an invite link. Guests use the Service under these Terms, and members are responsible for the conduct of guests they invite.
  • Be respectful. Treat other players courteously. Abusive, harassing, offensive or disruptive behaviour towards other players including through any names, messages or other communication in a game is not permitted.
  • Play fairly. Deliberately spoiling games for others (for example, repeatedly abandoning games, stalling play, or using bridge-playing software or other outside assistance in competitive games) is not permitted.
  • Visibility and recording. Your display name is visible to other players. Games may be recorded so we can run leaderboards, give you feedback on your play, and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • It's just for fun. Games and competitions are for enjoyment and learning. No entry fee is charged for competitions and no prizes of monetary value are offered unless we expressly say otherwise. Leaderboard placings have no cash value.
  • Our discretion. We may remove a player from a game or room, reset scores or leaderboards, or suspend access to the live game where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, or where necessary to keep the game working properly.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Service including lessons, text, graphics, logos, videos, quizzes, software and the games is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by New Zealand and international copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except for the personal-use licence in section 3, no rights in the content are transferred to you.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information. By using the Service you agree to it, and it forms part of these Terms.

7. Availability and disclaimer

We work hard to keep the Service running well, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the Service including the live game will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that the content is complete or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 that cannot lawfully be excluded; however, if you are using the Service for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage, or any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent our liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us and our officers, employees and agents against any claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Service (or any part of it, such as the live game) if you breach these Terms, or where we reasonably consider it necessary to protect the Service or other users. If we terminate your account other than for a breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused portion of any subscription period you have paid for.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on this page. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let members know. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any dispute relating to them or to the Service will be dealt with by the courts of New Zealand.
